Hear from the Candidates for 2024-25 AANA Board of Directors

Check out the timestamps below to help you navigate through the many topics we discussed.

On This Episode:

It’s another special edition of Beyond the Mask where we let you hear directly from the candidates running for various AANA offices in the upcoming fiscal year. This year we recoded the speeches when they were given in front of a live audience at the Mid-Year Assembly. From advocating for full practice authority to enhancing member engagement, each candidate shares their unique vision for advancing the profession. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from those who aspire to shape the future of nurse anesthesiology.

We’ll turn things over to Mark Haffey, the chair of the Leadership Identification Committee to introduce each speaker as he did live on stage during the mid-year assembly.

Don’t forget that voting for these candidates is now open! Here’s the link to let your voice be heard: https://www.aana.com/membership/elections-and-governance/governance/election-center/candidates/

I started listening to this podcast religiously early on in my CRNA journey, a year before applying to CRNA school. The content in this podcast was one of my most helpful resources for getting into my first choice school, Wake Forest! It has also been a huge motivator for getting involved with the AANA now and throughout my career. I highly recommend this podcast to every prospective CRNA I meet.
