Today, Charity welcomes Natalie, Cailtyn, and Mamawa to discuss their recent life-changing medical service trips to Mauritania and Honduras. These future CRNAs share their experiences providing anesthesia in resource-limited settings, highlighting the unique challenges and rewarding moments they encountered along the way.
They share the highs, challenges, and unforgettable lessons from providing anesthesia in locations where equipment and medications were limited. From hand-ventilating patients due to oxygen shortages to adapting to unfamiliar equipment and navigating cultural sensitivity, these students learned to rely on clinical judgment, creativity, and teamwork. You’ll hear how gratitude, resilience, and global connection transformed their approach to care, and why every future CRNA should consider stepping beyond the borders of traditional practice.
