Laura L. Ardizzone, DNP, CRNA, MBA, DCC, FAANA is the Director of Nurse Anesthesia Services at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and serves on the Executive Nursing Leadership team. She previously held roles as Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing and Director of Clinical Education at Columbia University School of Nursing. With more than 25 years of experience as an oncology nurse, Laura has built a distinguished career in clinical practice, education, and leadership.

She earned her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University, and an MBA from Cornell University. In addition, she completed a post-doctoral clinical fellowship at Columbia University School of Nursing.

Laura has completed two terms on the National Quality Forum’s Patient Safety Steering Committee, served as President of the Columbia University School of Nursing Alumni Board, and currently sits on the Columbia University Board of Visitors, advising the Dean on strategic initiatives. She is a Fellow of both the New York Academy of Medicine and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and a member of the American College of Health Care Executives .

Her achievements have been recognized with the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Medal from Columbia University, and she was honored as the Distinguished Student Speaker at Cornell University’s MBA commencement in 2024. She contributes to the field as a member of editorial boards for multiple anesthesia journals and has presented nationally and internationally on diverse anesthesia topics.

Passionate about global health, Laura has collaborated with The Carter Foundation on peri-anesthesia and clinical education projects in Sudan and Nigeria.
